Bethany Marie Bomberger

Ryan has a unique perspective on the innate nature of Purpose.  His biological mother was raped yet chose to go through 9 months of pregnancy, choosing to give him Life. He was adopted at 6 weeks of age and grew up in a loving, multi-racial family of 15, which gave him a great appreciation for diversity.  Ten of the thirteen children were adopted into this Christian family.

Ryan has several decades of experience in leadership.  He models his professional behavior after his father (owner of a large retail business) who, since Ryan's childhood, exemplified integrity, compassion, honesty and hard work.  As an entrepreneur Ryan began his own cutting-edge small business (Post-Production/Ad Agency) employing 5 full-time employees and nearly 20 subcontractors.  The agency became southeast Virginia’s premier Post-House, working with all of the largest Ad Agencies in the area.  As visionary for the company and CCO (Chief Creative Officer), he was responsible for successfully marketing his own company as well as major clients such as Cox Communications, YMCA, Sentara Healthcare, TheCall, Amerigroup, and Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

Most recently, Ryan has served as a Creative Director for the nation’s third largest relief organization.  One of his more involved projects included the crafting and overseeing of the branding, design and production of a million dollar major national media campaign. In this endeavor, he creatively directed outside agencies as well as internal resources and personnel.

He and his wife were responsible for leading a musically-talented adoptive family into the homes of millions of viewers, via Television, through their creativity (band/vocal coaching) and Public Relations efforts. Their involvement resulted in the family’s appearance in national tv shows such as Showtime at the Apollo, Good Morning America, ABC Family’s “My Life is a Sitcom”, and Oprah.

Ryan has had a passion for adoption, foster care, and children in general since his childhood.  He has been involved in numerous youth outreach programs as a mentor and coordinator.   He has addressed hundreds of thousands of people in diverse audiences (college, church, social services, conferences, major events) speaking and singing about his life.  He has served as a Board Member of the nation’s largest adoption agency, Bethany Christian Services (Virginia Beach and Atlanta Chapter) from 2005-2009, leading efforts in improving their marketing initiatives.  Today, he continues his adoption advocacy and desire to motivate young people through speaking engagements nationwide.

Anyone who knows him will declare he is a creative and passionate man who never wants to lose the wonder, the imagination and the fun of his youth.  There's never a lack of inspiration as every day is full of discoveries with his loving wife and 3 amazing children.  The joy and hope he has now is the same that he wants others to truly know for themselves.
